The use of electronic diaries in dermatology research.

Data collection methods are critically important in observational studies. The use of electronic diaries is a novel method which to date has not been utilized in dermatology research. This method has the potential to reduce recall bias. We report on our experience in the use of electronic diaries in a panel study of children with eczema.
